FAQs
Who can apply?
Our grants and scholarships are open to individuals and organizations in the USTA Southwest Section (Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso County) with a passion for tennis and a commitment to inclusion and growth.
What is the timeline for applications?
Our grants operate on two grant cycles (Spring and Fall). See the Grant Cycle Information section (below) for specific dates and deadlines.
Do I need tennis experience to apply?
While tennis experience can be beneficial, it’s not always required. What matters most is your vision for using tennis to create positive change.
Are there reporting requirements?
Yes, grant recipients may be required to provide progress updates or impact reports to ensure the funding is being used effectively and aligns with the foundation’s mission.
What happens if my application is incomplete?
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Be sure to review all requirements and provide the necessary documentation before submitting.
How many times can I apply?
Applicants may apply once per grant cycle. If your application is not selected, you are welcome to reapply during the next cycle.
Can I apply for multiple grants at the same time?
No, one grant request per individual and organization per cycle please.
What types of expenses are covered by grants?
Our grants can be used for a variety of tennis-related expenses, including but not limited to:
● Equipment and gear
● Coaching and training fees
● Tournament entry fees, camps and programs
● Travel expenses
● Program development for community initiatives
Is there a limit to how many times I can receive funding?
While there is no strict limit, priority may be given to new applicants to ensure equitable distribution of resources.
